September 2, 2008 – 6:51 pm

So, as you may know Jounce has been busy in the studio working on our next album, which we hope to bring to you very soon. In the meantime, we have a lot of great events coming up that we wanted to let you know about. It all starts this weekend, with shows at Sully’s Pub in Hartford, CT (with the Breakfast), St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY and the Evolve Festival in NJ.
Next, we have two shows in one day on Saturday, September 13th! First, from 3pm-4:20pm at the Wormtown Festival in Greenfield, MA, then a big hometown show with the Breakfast at Mexicali Live in Teaneck, NJ (Facebook event page). Finally, we end the month with a show at Whitlow’s in Arlington, VA on Saturday, September 27th (Facebook event page).
Hopefully we’ll get to see you soon. Please visit our tour dates page for more info, or the respective event websites. Your presence truly changes our music for the better!
Hi all. We’ve been hard at work, recording our next album at Mother West studios in New York. We spent much of the last week laying down initial tracks and are working towards a fall release. Some of the songs on the album you may have heard at shows over the last year, such as “Truth Defines,” “Tortoise,” and “Uneven Ends.” Other are relatively new, including “Cold Fog,” and “Too Far Gone.”
As you can tell, our live show schedule will be light for the rest of July and August, but we are returning to a normal schedule in September and already have some great things lined up. Stay cool this summer and keep in touch…
Have you ever seen the Benevento Russo Duo? The two of them produce more sound than most full bands. They rock and we’re happy to be opening for them this Wed. July 9th at Blend in Ridgewood, NJ. This is a local show for both bands, so we hope to bring all of you homebodies out of the woodwork. It’s summer!
